About the Author
The author was motivated by his love of animals to move with his English wife to Bologna, Italy, enrolling at the Veterinary College of Medicine. While in Italy, he learned to train horses to help support his family. Back in the States, his career as a Veterinarian led to many different experiences: a Resident Veterinarian on a thoroughbred farm in Upstate New York, an Equine Epidemiologist and Veterinarian for the State of New Jersey solving mysterious illnesses of farm animals, and finally opening his private practice in Manhattan.
The author currently lives in New York City. He retired from his private animal emergency practice, which served the Upper West Side for many years, taking care of cats, dogs, reptiles, birds and hedgehogs, to concentrate on his writing.
